If we’re just meeting, you’re probably wondering how to say my name and where it comes from. It’s a family story. My father loved boxing and named me after Gene Tunney, the Irish‑American boxing legend and world heavyweight champion of the 1920s.
At birth, Mum named me Kelly Raquel Kerr, but after complications with the anaesthetic, she was in ICU for five days and couldn’t see me. My father made a last‑minute change to Tunney Raquel Kerr—and the name stuck. It always makes for a great icebreaker at gigs!

Where are you from?

I’m a first‑generation Australian—born and raised here. My Mum is from the Philippines (with Spanish heritage), and my Dad was from Scotland (with Irish ancestry), so I’m technically called "Eurasian" - but I am a proud Aussie.

💍 Family & furry crew 
Married to Barry (“Bazza”) since 26 November 2011. We share one very loved fur child. I’m a proud step‑mum to two boys and one girl, with three grandchildren and three fur‑grandkids who keep the house buzzing between gigs and rehearsals.

🥊 Fight‑night fan
The only sport I watch? MMA/UFC. I know—I don’t look like I’m into fight nights, but give me a main card and snacks and I’m set. (Maybe that’s why I hit those power ballads like a TKO. 😉)

🎬 Movie moods
Big on action/fighting movies, obsessed with sci‑fi, and I’ll happily belt along to a musical. Yes, my playlists swing from Hans Zimmer to Hamilton.

🚗 Car life (it’s a whole vibe)

Both Bazza and I are car people—his taste is eclectic; mine is unapologetically big, mean muscle machines and trucks. Dream ride? A GMC SUV (still manifesting that spare $200,000… a girl can dream!).

Barry is President of the Byford Classic Car Club, and I’m the Secretary. With 450+ financial members, organising events keeps me on my toes between wedding singer bookings, live music sets, and everyday life.

I used to be an amateur plus‑size model and UGC (user‑generated content) creator for clothing and skincare brands. As my sizing changed, I do fewer collabs now—but fun fact: most of my social followers originally found me through that content, not through performing!
